Grit was born in 2022, after Ricky’s battle with mental health lit a fire in both of us.

In the thick of his struggle, when everything felt dark and heavy, Ricky had to make the decision to fight for his own life. It wasn’t easy. Some days, it still isn’t.

But that pain gave him a purpose: to reach others who are also struggling, and to remind them that even in the deepest battles, hope is real.

Ricky knows what it feels like to want to give up. He’s lived it. And that’s why he’s passionate about showing others that suicide is not the answer.

There is still purpose in your story. He’s living proof that even when you can’t see it, God isn’t finished with you yet.

For Ricky, Grit is about fighting alongside the ones who are barely holding on—and telling them the truth: you are loved, seen, and created on purpose, for a purpose.

Sydni’s heart is for the ones standing in the shadows—the spouses, friends, and family members who carry the quiet burden of watching someone they love struggle. She knows firsthand how heavy that can be, and how lonely it can feel.

She’s passionate about supporting the supporters, making sure they know they matter too. Being strong for someone else doesn’t mean you don’t need support yourself.

Together, we’re in this for one reason: THE FIGHT FOR LIFE.
